ABR Solutions was founded by Prof. Dr. habil. Annegret Mündermann PhD in 2009.
Prior to founding ABR Solutions in Germany and her appointment as Director of ABR Solutions., Prof. Dr. Annegret Mündermann held a research position at Stanford University and founded our partner company Advanced Biomechanics Research Ltd. in New Zealand. She received a graduate degree in Mathematics and Sports Sciences from Universität Konstanz, Germany, and her Ph.D. in Medical Science/Biomechanics from the University of Calgary, Canada. Prof. Dr. Mündermann was awarded the Chancellor's Graduate Medal for her dissertation. She received her Venia Legendi in Movement Science at the University of Konstanz, Germany, in 2010 and her Venia Docendi in 2016 at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Basel, Switzerland. Since 2012, Prof. Dr. Mündermann is the Head of Functional Biomechanics at the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University Hospital Basel in Basel, Switzerland, where she holds a professorship and conducts research on in vivo mechanosensitivity of musculoskeletal tissues. She teaches graduate level courses in Health Sciences and Biomedical Engineering. Prof. Dr. Mündermann is the Secretary General of the German Society of Biomechanics and a member of the following professional organizations: European Medical Writers Association, Orthopaedic Research Society and the International and German Societies of Biomechanics.
